Poor Design of New Fascia with C Section Facing Outwards

In our opinion it is not a practical on site scenario for the following reasons.
1. The practicality of screwing wall sheeting into a 12.5mm lip on a C10010 is limiting, bearing in mind that the 12.5 mm also includes the radius, further reducing opportunity for screw placement.
2. The fact that the new design does not allow for fascia purlin to hang off eave bracket prior to fixing – makes installation far more difficult especially as it is done when portals are standing.
3. More opportunity to get leaks when gutters are not fitted. The advice of a cover flashing is an unnecessary expense putting further pressure on margins.
4. Note double eave purlin details shows eave bracket inside eave purlin as per previous design – how does that work where double facsia joins single?

Totally agree James & needs to be resolved quickly. We have 3 installers who have all been doing shed for years complaining about the above changes. Imagine if it was a DIY customer - what a disaster...

I agree with above and in NZ conditions where safety mesh is used on 95% of our sheds the lip is drilled to tie the safety mesh to.
We also use a heavy duty external gutter bracket which is fixed to the face of the eave purlin.
