We are getting requests for spans to exceed the SMS allowable of 6m. The same applies to the length. Many are wanting 7x7m. Interest in carports is for storing caravans or boats, so 6x6m just isn't big enough. For the supply of these to be cost effective, applying external engineering design can put this out of reach for buyers. Can we please look at increasing the allowable spans and lengths in SMS by applying the appropriate material in the bill?
