As we are getting flooded with livable shed enquiries, I feel we are being left behind our competitors with the design issues we face. I think it would be good to have some sort of forum/phone meeting to go over these challenges and see where Steelx is up to with resolving these. I dont think the answer is to simply direct us to Sharp.

I sent a massive email to Kent outlining my concerns months ago. Nothing has been improved.
See below:
There are so many holes in the system in that respect, so much price outsourcing – the fear of windows and doors not fitting into the upstairs spaces because we can locate them on the mezz floor, which causes hours of drawing and measuring to see what will actually fit and where. The balconies on barn houses (which is generally by far the most popular request)
I also have a concern re the wording in the terms and conditions….
Unless nominated, no allowance has been made for solar panels, earthquake or snow loading. The building is not suitable for lining with gyprock.Unless nominated, no allowance has been made for earthquake or snow loading. The building is not suitable for lining with gyprock.
*Will we see changes in this area? To make the shed homes more streamline to quote? The amount of live in quotes we have coming in now is pretty crazy! I’d love to see the quoting process get a little easier before we start pushing promotion…..

Sharpe are currently taking 6-8 weeks to deal with any engineering changes which adds considerable delay to the process of finailising a livable shed
